The Gwinnett Film Commission is here to ensure all productions, large or small, have professional, expeditious service to ensure all filming requirements are met regardless of film location.

All productions filmed in Gwinnett County (whether in unincorporated Gwinnett or within city limits) are required to have a Gwinnett County Fire Plan Review permit (no fee). This permit is completed and submitted via an online portal (please make sure Fire Plan review is hyperlinked here). EX: If a location owner advises you they are "private property" and it won't require a permit, please disregard, or risk having your filming interrupted.

Locations within the 17 cities within Gwinnett County typically require an additional city permit, and timelines, guidelines and fees will vary.

Road/Lane Closures or Intermittent Traffic Control: To request road usage, please be prepared to provide a Traffic Control Plan for review. Utilization of either Gwinnett County or city police officers for traffic control will be required (fees range by city/county). Approvals will be required from Gwinnett County DOT, city DOT (if applicable) and Georgia DOT (state route usage).
