Regulations & Permits
We'll help you get what you need.
The Gwinnett Film Commission is here to ensure all productions, large or small, have professional, expeditious service to ensure all filming requirements are met regardless of film location.
Please note:
All productions filmed in Gwinnett County (whether in unincorporated Gwinnett or within city limits) are required to have a Gwinnett County Fire Plan Review permit (no fee). EX: If a location owner advises you they are "private property" and it won't require a permit, please disregard, or risk having your filming interrupted.
Additionally, secondary permits will be required if filming within city limits or if utilizing Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation facilities. City guidelines and fees range widely; please contact Lisa Anders (404-849-8896) for guidance, assistance, and facilitation with key contacts. Texting is preferred, and prompt response is our standard.
Road/Lane Closures or Intermittent Traffic Control Roadwork: All road usage/closure requests should be directed to Lisa Anders. She'll facilitate requests through city, county and Georgia DOT. Requirements include formal Traffic Control Plan (TCP) and utilization of either Gwinnett County Police or City Police on-site for traffic control.
