You can make any meal into a sandwich, and any sandwich into a meal.

How can something so simple be so amazing? A sandwich is just meat, cheese, and maybe some veggies, put in between two pieces of bread. But, when you think about, there are so many delicious types of bread and countless things to put in between it.

August is National Sandwich Month, so I'm sharing a few places where you can find the best sandwiches in Gwinnett. Some of these sandwiches are fancy, and some are simple, but the one thing I can promise you is that they're all good.

Rico's Apricot, Ham & Brie

It's tempting to order one of everything on the menu when you go to Rico's World Kitchen. I pretty much always opt for the apricot, ham & brie sandwich. The honey cured ham and creamy brie are perfect with the spiced apricot mayo on grilled french bread. Grab some napkins—this one gets a little messy.

McCray's Smoked Turkey Club

You'll be California dreamin' of this sandwich from McCray's Tavern, which includes turkey, bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato and avocado served on toasted focaccia with chipotle aioli. If avocado doesn't do it for you, then the Salmon BLT is another favorite. Enjoy your sandwich on their rooftop patio overlooking the Lawrenceville square.

B & W Burger's Grilled Grouper Sandwich

You don't hear many people discussing who has the best fish sandwich, but after trying the Grilled Grouper Sandwich at B & W Burgers you will! Topped with lettuce, onion, tomato and remoulade this sandwich is a "reel" winner.

Good Word's Fried Green Tomato BLT

It doesn't get more Southern than this! If you love fried green tomatoes then take it up a notch by adding BLT, roasted red pepper aioli and fries at Good Word Brewing & Public House in Duluth. Be sure to grab a craft beer while you're there.

Lazy Dog Pot Roast Beef Dip

Looking for a hearty and filling sandwich? You've found it! The Pot Roast Beef Dip at Lazy Dog in Peachtree Corners features mouth-watering slow-cooked pot roast, mozzarella, caramelized onions, horseradish cream sauce, a toasted roll and au jus on the side.

Brown Bag Deli's Rajun Cajun Club

This sandwich is worth raving about with it's Cajun spiced grilled chicken, provolone, casear dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and bacon. Head on over to Brown Bag Deli to try it for yourself.

Let's be honest...
