No one knows Gwinnett better than our very own Explorers. Through our Ask an Explorer series, you'll learn all the reasons why our staff love Gwinnett.

Meet our Sales Manager, Race (like a racecar) Roberts! Born and raised in Gwinnett County, Race is a true Gwinnettian and he shares some of his favorite spots below.

1. What would you do if you were to plan a staycation?

I would start the day with a coffee from Phoenix Roasters and brunch at Local on North. Then walk around downtown Duluth before heading up to Buford to check out the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Then I would grab lunch at Aqua Terra Bistro and head to Top Golf to have a beer and hit a few balls terribly for an hour or so. Then if the Gwinnett Stripers were playing I would go and watch a game. after that, I would grab dinner at Oystra Sushi and Kitchen before heading back to downtown Duluth and finishing off the night at Good Word Brewing.

2. What is your favorite thing to do in the county? Favorite place to eat?

I love going to the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center with my family My favorite place to eat is Noona in DT Duluth or Stage In Peachtree Corners both have excellent food and great cocktails

3. Name a few of your favorite events, festivals, or weekend markets.

Duluth Fall Festival is a must-see/attend along with Fridays in Duluth

4. What is something you find unique about Gwinnett? Any hidden gems people need to know about?

It's unique in the way that every downtown is different. They all have a different feel to them or a different atmosphere but there are fun places/activities for all of the community at each. Each city has made a lot of effort to develop them and create their own style.
