One of the first Gwinnett County cities to develop, Lilburn is rooted in the railroad that still runs hourly through Old Town Lilburn, the heart and soul of this small city.

The city’s namesake, Lilburn Trigg Myers, was one of the first railroad superintendents for the Seaboard Air Line Railway. Today, Lilburn is a diverse, community-rooted city with a growing, charming downtown featuring popular restaurants like 1910 Public House, Agavera Cantina, and just down the street, the award-winning Three Blind Mice.

One of metro Atlanta’s most unique cultural destinations, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, is in the heart of Lilburn. The BAPS Mandir is one of the two largest Hindu Temples in the U.S. and is open daily to the public for tours, with tour highlights including the viewing of the sacred deities and the Aarti ceremony, the waving of lit lamps before the Deity. Lilburn’s City Park is the home of one of Gwinnett’s top children’s park playgrounds, and their green space and amphitheatre hosts numerous events, including festivals, food truck events, holiday events, and live music.
