Native American Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month
Overview
Every November, Gwinnett County celebrates Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month! This celebration serves as an opportunity to learn about the vibrant cultures and traditions that Tribal Nations have honored for centuries.
Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month was first declared as a national commemorative month in 1990 by Georgia H. W. Bush. Since then, the month has served as an opportunity to spotlight the traditions, crafts, dance, languages, and history that make up these cultures. Our Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Night serves as a chance for all of Gwinnett to unite in celebration!
