About Art Rx
Art Rx is a collaborative initiative of Create Gwinnett and View Point Health, funded by South Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The program brings arts and creativity experiences to individuals receiving outpatient mental health services, creating opportunities for participants to explore creative expression, movement, storytelling, and community connection.
Led by Duluth-based artist and Certified InterPlay Facilitator Christine Gautreaux, Art Rx creates space for participants to explore their creativity, connect with one another, and share their voices through a variety of creative experiences.
Celebrating Creativity and Connection
The Art Rx Community Showcase offers an opportunity to experience some of the work and creativity that has emerged through the program and to meet participants, artists, providers, and community partners who have helped bring Art Rx to life.
At noon, attendees are invited to experience a special InterPlay performance featuring movement, voice, storytelling, and improvisation.
The showcase is also designed to build connections beyond the program itself. Community organizations will be on-site to share services, programs, resources, and opportunities with participants, families, providers, and other attendees.
