The Lawrenceville Arts Center
Overview
Lawrenceville Arts Center (LAC) opened in October of 2021 is a an indoor/outdoor event and entertainment complex with 4 venues. The Grand Stage seats 500, includes a fly system, a motorized orchestra pit, state of the art acoustics and a projection screen for movies and conferences. Other stages include a 250-seat thrust Main Stage, a 175-seat flexible seating Cabaret,, and a 100-seat flexible studio space. The complex is operated by Aurora Theatre. LAC is an affordable option for midsize arts groups in need of a performance space. LAC is owned by the City of Lawrenceville and contains 4 indoor stages, an art gallery, an outdoor courtyard with a removable stage and a number of rehearsal and meeting spaces. Attractions/Events: concerts, plays, comedians, and conventions. Resident Companies include: Aurora Theatre, Gwinnett Ballet, Kruti Dance Academy, Club Babalu, Black Artist Market, Economic Impact: Total investment $45 million from the City of Lawrenceville. In a 2014 economic impact study, paid for by Explore Gwinnett, the campus generated $3.244 million of economic impact in historic downtown Lawrenceville.
