What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?

It's time to ring in the new year, and we've got six ways for you to celebrate in Gwinnett.

"Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne?"

You've probably heard this classic song on a movie or TV show. Maybe you've even sung it yourself! It's meaning? Some say, "Auld Lang Syne is about old friends who have parted and meet again. To celebrate their long friendship, they share a drink together and reminisce of memories from long ago. The basic message is that we should not forget our old friends and should celebrate a reunion with them."

We love the idea of celebrating. And, we're glad Gwinnett's got so much to offer when it comes to New Year's Eve festivities. Here are six things you can do celebrate.

Hear some rockin' tunes. Catch the Klaus Band Kamp at 37 Main in Buford. If you want to grab a bite to eat beforehand, Buford's got some great options—Bare Bones, Aqua Terra, Adam's Restaurant & Piano Bar and more.

Get some exercise. Join Family Promise of Gwinnett for the Flashlight 5K. The event starts after dark, so bring your flashlight (hence the name), and get ready to get rid of those extra holiday pounds.
