Introducing Uncle Jack's New Menu
If you weren't hungry before, you will be now.
Recently, Uncle Jack's Meat House in Duluth introduced their new, all day menu. Naturally, I had to pop over and give it a try.
What'll you find on the menu? Unique, new dishes, affordable prices and excellent daily specials.
First, appetizers (naturally). The restaurant has added quite a few munchies, and we ordered the fried grande mozzarella wedges and Jack's peppers and chips. You can never go wrong with mozzarella wedges, but the spicy marinara sauce they come with at Uncle Jack's ups the mozzarella game. The peppers and chips were one of a kind—the dish includes fried pickles and sweet peppers drizzled with a smoked aioli. Overall, you'll find several more shareable snacks on the menu.
The all day menu also includes several different sandwiches and steak burgers. Uncle Jack's recently got their own smoker, so I ordered the brick pressed cubano to test it out. The chef actually came out and mentioned this was one of his signature dishes. The meat was excellent, but the creamy gruyere cheese is what really made this a stand out sandwich.
My coworker ordered the Sugarloaf burger, and I'll just start with... order it. I can honestly say I've never had a burger that has as much exciting flavor as this one. The Sugarloaf is made up of a custom W.J.D. blend of prime beef, avocado, red onions, charred corn salsa, smokey chorizo, queso chihuahua, cilantro mayo and chipotle ketchup. We weren't really sure how to physically eat this massive sandwich, but trust me, we did.
On top of all these new, reasonably priced meals, Uncle Jack's has added a special to their menu every single day of the week. Try the fried chicken on a Tuesday, or come in Saturday for the low country boil.
What hasn't changed? They're still offering top-quality, delectable meats and impressive craft cocktails. If you haven't been to Uncle Jack's before (or in a while), stop by—you'll be satisfied.
