Southern Wilds Festival

It's all about the music, the food, and the people.

Southern Wilds Festival is back on again September 24th at the Lawrenceville Depot District. There is a full lineup of bands slated to play, including A Thousand Horses, Anderson East, and Kidd G. This festival is so much more than your typical music festival. For the Southern Wilds Team, it's all about celebrating our community. Market Row will feature local craft vendors that work and live in Gwinnett, and Food Truck Alley will feature a wide variety of culinary options. Slow Pour Brewing, a major partner for this event, will be releasing a special beer in honor of the festival. Experience a fun-filled day full of good music, craft beer, and an end-of-summer celebration like no other.

History

Southern Wilds Festival, previously Simple Southernality, was founded by two Gwinnett natives and Collins Hill High School graduates, Zach Brown and Justin Downing. After separate adventures in both Los Angeles and Nashville, the two came back together in 2020 with the hopes of deepening both the festival's roots and reach within the city of Gwinnett.

They've since teamed up with The City of Lawrenceville and The Flash Society to create a festival that, at its core, celebrates southern talent and diversity through the showcasing of local musicians, artists, food, and craft beer.
