What's Going Down Around Town

One Flower Day

Do you ever get tired of the same offereings from the usual floral shops in the area? We found a real gem in a small boutique, One Flower Day, located in Suwannee. Owner Allison Kang provides some of the most unique offerings for flower displays, bouquets and arrangements around Gwinnett.

In additiona to bouquets and flowers for every formal and casual occassion, Ms. Kang also offers intimate class settings for those wishing to try their hand at flower arrangements. A true artist and entrepreneur, she provides careful instructions to her students as they work to mold her unique selection of dried flowers during a two-hour session in her home studio. She has rapidly been able to expand her business from floral arrangements for private events to full service wedding packages, large scale corporate events, and other popular family gatherings.

Ms. Kang provides a delicate Asian flair to her designs and arrangements that offers something unique and different from some other floral shops. She also takes the time to source a number of her dried flowers directly from Korea, which adds elements that cannot be replicated anywhere else in metro Atlanta. Unique components combined with a keen eye for contemporary and traditional trends has enabled Allison to create some exciting new designs and offerings for her customers.

One Flower Day is also keen on expanding its repertoire to include more local plants and flowers that are indigenous to Georgia and the southeast. Ms. Kang appreciates the diversity of plant life since immigrating from Korea, and while remaining rooted in her homeland of Korea, she enjoys learning about and experimenting with new varieties of plants in the United States. This leads to a truly unique combination and creations that can truly be called one of a kind. Be sure to keep One Flower Day in mind for your next event or special occasion. Also, there are opportunities to try your own hand at floral arrangements with guidance from a true professional.
