Do Delivery Different with Boxete

Don't just think pizza when you think delivery.

There was a mix up with a colleague at work earlier this week. I thought we were going to a lunch event, so I didn't bring a lunch. Our lunch plans changed, so I had to figure out what I wanted to eat. I wasn't really feeling anything nearby, and I didn't necessarily want to leave the office to fight lunchtime traffic and lines (lazy, I know).

I started thinking about delivery options, which to me always means pizza. Don't get me wrong—I love pizza, but I was just in the mood for something a little healthier. That's when I remembered Boxete, a newer food delivery service in the Duluth area that offers authentic Korean fusion cuisine.

Consider Boxete next time you want your lunch or dinner delivered. #Boxete

You've probably seen their little box cars (coincidence?) cruising around town. The restaurant delivers fast, fresh food to a wide area in Gwinnett, which includes parts of Duluth, Suwanee, Lilburn, Buford, Lawrenceville and Norcross.

They've got a lot of selections on their menu, including dishes fit for one person or larger entrees to feed a group. One new item they've rolled out is the Boxete Sampler. With this meal, you get to choose a meat, a main rice and two sides. Some of their more traditional offerings include Korean style beef with rice and bibimbap. If you're looking for more of a fusion dish, try the K.S.B. burger or chicken fried steak.

In order to meet the $15 delivery minimum (and who am I kidding, I was hungry), I ordered the bibimbap and the Korean style beef rice roll. The delivery took about 30 minutes, and when the food got here, it was way more than I expected, which I'm learning is a normalcy for Korean cuisine.

I opted for the sweet pepper sauce instead of the regular pepper sauce for the bibimbap. It was the perfect complement to the crispy, fresh veggies and masterfully marinated Korean style beef. The dish is served over rice, and it was just the right portion size for lunch.

The Korean style beef rice roll, also known as Kimbap, came with a side order of spicy rice cakes and spicy fish cake soup. In my opinion, the spice had a pretty strong kick to it, but was absolutely delicious. The roll itself was expertly crafted, and came with a tasty sweet/spicy sauce. The spice in this sauce was more mild, and was a great addition to the Kimbap.

Overall, my experience with Boxete was awesome. Next time you're looking to have lunch delivered, give Boxete a try. Keep up with them on Facebook for new dishes, specials and more.
