Who doesn't love a crisp cool salad in the summertime?

Summer is when the salad options start to bloom, thanks to all the fresh produce being picked. You will start to see more fruits and vegetables as toppings on the menu, making for one colorful plate when it gets delivered to the table. A lot of the restaurants try to pick from local vendors which means your food is grown right around the corner.  Many people say a salad is not enough to fill them up but check out this list of loaded salads right here in some of Gwinnett's greatest restaurants. 

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Located in Peachtree Corners Town Center, Firebirds offers their signature Grilled Tenderloin Salad. It consists of mixed greens topped with wood grilled tenderloin, blue cheese crumbles and diced tomatoes.  The chef recommends balsamic vinaigrette as the dressing. 

The Crossing Steakhouse

Do not let the steakhouse name fool you, The Crossing has eight salads to choose from! Try the Southern-Style Chicken salad, mixed greens and romaine topped with fried chicken tenders, red onions, Granny Smith apples, warm sweet cornbread croutons, walnuts, and pecan pies, with bacon-honey mustard dressing. This salad is  all things southern. 

Rico's World Kitchen

Nestled in downtown Buford, Rico's World Kitchen may look small, but their food will fill you up. If you like fried green tomatoes then you will love their Fried Green Tomato Salad, served on top of mixed greens, and topped with Applewood bacon and blue cheese. 

La Belle Vie

If you are looking for a fancy or French option, try La Belle Vie in Suwanee. They serve a Nicoise Tuna Salad that has seared tuna, baby gem, frisee, spinach, heirloom cherry tomato, olives, egg, haricot vert, cucumber and topped with honey dijon vinaigrette. 

Noona Meat & Seafood

Voted Best of Gwinnett Magazine and Opentable Diners' Choice, Noona Meat & Seafood is centered around an open kitchen to give guests a unique dining experience. Their Spinach Salad is healthy and delicious, it is a bed of spinach with bacon, cured egg yolk, parmesan, pistachios, and vinaigrette dressing.
