If you’re looking for a fun and interesting way to spend a morning, or the afternoon, look no further! Come visit the YELLOW RIVER WILDLIFE SANCTUARY in central Gwinnett alongside the Yellow River, just minutes from Stone Mountain Park. Officially a wildlife sanctuary, YRWS is still home to the original Bison herd, peacocks and pigs. Come meet all of the new additions including albino wallabies, Babydoll sheep, Fallow deer, ring-tailed lemurs, alpacas, black bears and more. Interact with alpacas, goats, lambs, pigs, a steer and a donkey named Donkey in the Petting Zoo. Learn exciting animal facts through interactive exhibits and Keeper Talks. Check out the Gem Mining exhibit to look for Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires.
