(770) 441-1645The birthplace of Eli Linson Landers, a Confederate soldier from Gwinnett County whose moving letters were memorialized in the book, "Weep not for me, Dear Mother." Landers was a member of Company H, Howell Cobb's 16th Regiment of Georgia Infantry Volunteers, known as the Flint Hill Grays. His family was also one of the founders of the Sweetwater Primitive Baptist Church.
The home site is located behind the Sweetwater Cemetery, where you'll find the graves of more than thirty Confederate and Revolutionary soldiers, as well as slave grave sites.

This historic home is located behind Sweetwater Cemetery on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. It is not open to the public at this time.
