International Civil Rights Walk of Fame

Part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic Site, the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame was created in 2004 to give recognition to those courageous soliders of justice who sacrificed and struggled to make equality a relaity for all. Along the promenade leading to the National Park Service's Visitor Center is a parade of embedded 2 x 2 granite markers featuring the actual footstep impressions of civil and human rights icons, such a Rosa Parks, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Ambassador Andrew Young, U.S. Congreesman John Lewis and others.
